FurMinder Terms of Service

FurMinder is operated by Jesther Jordan Minor ("FurMinder," "we," "us"). By downloading, accessing, or using the FurMinder app or related services, you agree to these Terms of Service and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use FurMinder. FurMinder is not directed to children under 13, and you must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use FurMinder only with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian. By using FurMinder, you confirm that you meet these requirements and that the information you provide is accurate.

• You are responsible for the information in your account and for the pet-care data you add.
• You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for activity that happens under your account.
• You must let us know at rejesthm@gmail.com if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.

When using FurMinder, you agree not to:

• Use the app for any unlawful, harmful, deceptive, or abusive purpose.
• Upload content you do not have the right to share, or content that infringes another person's rights.
• Attempt to bypass security controls, subscription checks, premium feature gates, gallery quotas, or clinic permission boundaries.
• Access, scrape, or interfere with the service, other users' data, or the systems behind it in unauthorized ways.
• Impersonate a clinic, forge clinic-sourced records or reminders, or misrepresent your relationship with a clinic.

You keep ownership of the pet profiles, photos, records, notes, and other content you add to FurMinder. You grant FurMinder the limited permission needed to store, sync, back up, and display that content so the app can work across your devices and any clinic connections you approve. You are responsible for the accuracy of the content you add, and you can request deletion of your account and associated app data at /account-deletion.

FurMinder lets you connect with a clinic and choose which pets and information to share. Clinic connections are controlled by you:

• A clinic can access only the pet and owner information you grant through a clinic connection, plus records and service updates created through that clinic workflow.
• Records and reminders a clinic creates for you are readable by you but are managed by the clinic. You may update the status of clinic reminders, but clinic-created records are not owner-editable or deletable within the app.
• You can review clinic suggestions and decide whether to accept them. Ending a clinic connection stops future clinic sharing for the affected pets.

FurMinder is an organizational tool for pet owners. It helps you store profiles, reminders, weight entries, gallery items, and health records, but it does not provide veterinary, medical, or professional advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Reminders and records in the app are for your convenience and are not a substitute for professional care. Always rely on a qualified veterinarian for decisions about your pet's health, and seek emergency care when needed.

• FurMinder offers optional Premium features through auto-renewing subscriptions sold and processed by the Apple App Store and Google Play.
• Payment is charged to your store account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period and price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends, unless the store states otherwise.
• Prices, subscription options, and included Premium features may change. Changes do not affect a term you have already paid for.
• Premium access is verified against store entitlement data, and some features—such as weekly gallery limits—may be enforced through usage quotas.

You can manage or cancel a subscription any time in your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds and purchase history are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies, and FurMinder generally cannot issue store refunds directly. Deleting the app does not by itself cancel an active subscription.

We work to keep FurMinder available and reliable, but the service is provided on an "as available" basis and may change. We may add, modify, or remove features, rely on third-party providers such as Firebase and Google Cloud, or interrupt the service for maintenance, updates, security, or reasons outside our control.

FurMinder, including its name, logo, app design, and software, is owned by FurMinder and protected by intellectual-property laws. These terms do not transfer any FurMinder intellectual-property rights to you. You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from the app except as allowed by law or the applicable app store terms.

You can stop using FurMinder at any time and can request account deletion at /account-deletion. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms, misuse the service, or create risk or legal exposure for FurMinder or other users. Some limited records may be retained where necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or store transaction records, as described in the Privacy Policy.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, FurMinder is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, fully secure, or that data will never be lost. You are responsible for keeping your own copies of information that is important to you.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, FurMinder and Jesther Jordan Minor will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the service. To the extent liability cannot be excluded, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid FurMinder for the service in the twelve months before the claim, or, where no amount was paid, a nominal sum.

We may update these terms as features, services, or legal requirements change. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date on this page. Your continued use of FurMinder after an update means you accept the revised terms.
