FurMinder Privacy Policy

• Account information such as email address, display name, authentication identifiers, and profile photo.
• Pet care information you add, including pet profiles, photos, reminders, calendar items, weight entries, gallery items, medical records, notes, and attachments.
• Clinic connection information when you choose to connect with a clinic, including shared pet permissions, relationship status, clinic suggestions, service-session updates, and owner-visible clinic records.
• Device and app information needed for app functionality, including push notification tokens, local notification settings, crash or error context, and security logs.
• Subscription information needed to verify Premium access, including store platform, product ID, transaction or purchase references, entitlement status, expiration date, and weekly gallery quota counters.

• Camera access is used to scan clinic QR codes and, when you choose, capture pet photos or record attachments.
• Photo and file access is used only when you choose media or documents for pet profiles, gallery items, or medical records.
• Notification permission is used for care reminders and clinic service updates you enable.

• To create and secure your account.
• To sync your pets, reminders, records, gallery, and settings across your devices.
• To send reminders, clinic service notifications, and owner-visible clinic updates.
• To verify subscriptions and enforce Premium feature access.
• To maintain security, troubleshoot issues, prevent abuse, and support users.

FurMinder does not sell personal information.

• Firebase and Google Cloud services process app data so FurMinder can provide authentication, database, storage, hosting, notifications, and backend services.
• Apple App Store and Google Play process purchases and provide subscription verification data when you buy or restore Premium.
• Clinics can access only the pet and owner information you choose to share through a clinic connection, plus records or service updates created through that clinic workflow.
• Information may be disclosed when required for legal compliance, safety, fraud prevention, or enforcement of app terms and store policies.

FurMinder keeps account and pet-care data while your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You can request deletion of your FurMinder account and associated app data at /account-deletion. Some limited records may be retained when necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or store transaction records. Store purchase history is also managed by Apple or Google under their own policies.

FurMinder uses Firebase Authentication, Firestore security rules, Firebase Storage rules, HTTPS, server-side verification, and least-privilege admin access patterns to protect data. No system can guarantee perfect security, but FurMinder is designed to limit access to the account owner, connected clinics with granted permissions, and authorized service operators.

FurMinder is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal information without parent or guardian consent, contact rejesthm@gmail.com so the information can be reviewed and removed.

FurMinder uses cloud services that may process information in countries other than where you live. By using FurMinder, you understand that information may be processed where FurMinder and its service providers operate.

FurMinder may update this policy as features, services, or legal requirements change. The updated date on this page shows when the current version took effect.
